Gulf Coast Research Associates, Inc. is a Site Management Organization (SMO) that specializes in conducting outpatient and inpatient Phase II through IV clinical trials involving Pharmaceutical, Biological and Medical Device products.

We contract with pharmaceutical companies (Sponsors) and Contract Research Organizations (CROs) to coordinate and manage clinical studies throughout our vast and diverse network of Clinical Investigator sites in South Central Louisiana.

Our highly efficient SMO structure allows us to respond quickly to the Sponsor's research needs. Our centralized management and coordinator functions produces streamlined and rapid start-up capabilities. We utilize experienced Board Certified Investigators in all medical specialties to recruit patient volunteers and perform Phase II though IV clinical trials.

Because we are a SMO structure with a network of investigators, our clients only have to deal with one contract through Gulf Coast RA when involving multiple sites in studies.

We handle the coordinating of all regulatory processes and study activities through our central office in Baton Rouge Louisiana.

2nd Gulf Coast RA works very closely with our Network of Investigators to recruit, enroll, and schedule volunteers to participate in the studies.

All regulatory, IRB, and study specific paperwork is prepared by our staff along with the necessary assistance of our Investigators.  Gulf Coast RA ensures that each study follows strict GCP guidelines and adheres to Study Protocol in order to produce high quality unbiased study data for our Sponsors.
